Haylie Franz
Haylie Franz
Premier Fastpitch Academy would like to welcome Haylie Franz to our team of instructors. Haylie has played softball for over ten years and specializes in catching and hitting.

Haylie brings a calm, clear and mechanically sound approach to the game and these properly taught skills and fundamentals in catching and hitting are what helps our Premier Fastpitch Academy students be successful.

As a past catcher herself she understands the correct fundamentals and mechanics of catching such as proper setting up, framing, blocking, proper and accurate throwing are critical parts of the catcher's role as leader behind the plate.

These properly taught skills help keep opposing players on base nervous and on edge of possibly being thrown out on an attempted steal or picked off if they get too big of a lead. She helps her student athletes feel confident with these proper catching fundamentals and mechanics to help her students grow into great catchers behind the plate and supportive leaders on the field.

Haylie will also be working with the Premier Fastpitch Academy hitters and teaching them the proper mechanics in their swings to get the most out of balls hit.

These proper mechanics include proper stance in the box, proper hand work, proper core loading, proper hand separation, knee drive and footwork and pivot to get the most successful swings out of the Prmier Fastpitch Academy student hitters.

Proper mechanics also includes being able to bunt properly to advance runners on base closer to scoring positions as well as being able to score runners on squeeze plays. With the proper hitting and bunting mechanic the student athlete will have greater opportunities for success when they step into the batter's box to help their team.

Haylie is a student at Kennesaw State and is working toward becoming a history teacher. Health, wellness, and mobility are important parts of her own life and she brings that same mindset into her coaching to build strong and well rounded athletes.
